Nails of the Day

Today I decided I needed a great nail makeover.
I live in northern Arizona near Nevada, and we are getting ready to have Biker Weekend where our towns welcome bikers from all across the country for the annual Harley Run.

I chose Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz collection by Julep.
This is a gorgeous holographic silver.
I love that this is completely full coverage and I only needed one coat for this amazing color!

Nails of the Day - MiniPost

So since I am so obsessed with Julep and their nail polishes,
I have decided to add in a new mini post, Nails of the Day!

Please excuse my cuticles and terrible looking nails and fingers.
I just had my acrylics taken off for good so my nails are very sad at the moment!

Right now I am wearing Cassidy
which is a gorgeous cream pool blue.
This is definitely one of my favorite shades but it might be just a little too bright.

As far as the polish itself, Cassidy goes on very smooth and I had no issue with streaking.
This is only one coat!

Sorry for the tiny post and run but I wanna keep this short and sweet :)

April Julep Mystery Box - Unboxing

So this month Julep released TWO mystery boxes.
Cora (It Girl) is all nail polish & nail goodies, while the box with Pamela (It Girl) is all beauty.
Of course, I had to get both because I have zero self control when it comes to Julep.

This is how my box came, both together.

The colors I received from top to bottom are:
Shari, Casey, Lizanne, Pamela, Hazel, Cora, and my add-on Aurora.

  Blank Canvas- Mattifying Eye Primer

Orbital Eyeshadow in Borealis

Kajal Eye Glider in Carbon Black/Brown Shimmer

Lip Gloss in Lively

Mighty Nail and Cuticle Serum

Clean Slate Polish Remover Pads

Luxe Care Hand Cream

RockStar Hand Cream -Travel Size

And for my favorite add on ever:
The Wizard of OZ Collection <3
Ruby Slippers, Tin Man, Glinda the Good Witch and Emerald City

I absolutely cannot wait to try all of these products and I am so pleased.
Reviews will be up as these are tried and tested.

April Ipsy Bag - Beautifully Bohemian

Ipsy is a great monthly beauty subscription for those looking for great quality sample (and even some full size!) products for a low price.
Monthly bags are priced at $10.00 and are filled with products based on a beauty quiz, so not everyone gets the same things!

My bag for April

Lather Ultra Light Face Lotion
This lotion is pretty amazing. It has a pleasant smell and doesn't clog your pores.
I could definitely see myself using this on a regular basis.

  Pandora's Blush
I received this blush in Pink Carnation, which is really a nice rose color.
I'm not a big fan of blush so I don't know I feel about this one yet.

Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip and Cheek Tint
So, I will be honest. The color frightened me when I first opened the lid.
It turns out to not actually be a deep purple. There really isn't much of a color to it, unfortunately. But that doesn't make it a bad product.
This is actually one of my favorite things out of the bag. It is Vegan and Handmade out of some amazing ingredients. Smells awesome as well.
Not too sure about using it on my cheeks often but I love it for my lips.

JulieG Nail Color in Damsel
While I am a sucker for nail polish, this was my least exciting item in my bag.
Definitely not into barbie pink polishes.

TheBalm Nude Dude Eyeshadow Single
I absolutely adore the packaging that this single came in.
I received this in Flirty, which is a gorgeous bronze.
This blends really well and I wish there were more to it.

Overall, I am so pleased with this months bag!

April Julep Box - The Paradise Collection (Plus link for Spring Welcome Box)

I have to admit, I am a sucker for gorgeous nail polish.
So I guess that is why the Julep Maven Box has become my absolute favorite monthly subscription box.
I definitely love that you get to customize what you receive, you are in control!
The box comes at a good price of $24.99. (plus add-ons at a great discount!)

Let dig in to this months box:

This month is The Paradise Collection.
Full of gorgeous, colorful choices.

*Other options for this months box included Juleps new brow products. This wasn't something I was interested in at the moment but I would definitely consider trying them in the future.

For the first option in my box, I decided on the Plie Wand.
Anything to help me get my right hand looking as good as my left is something I need to try.
I have heard good things about this as far as control so I figured now would be a great time to add it in.

The first two colors in my box are Danielle and Drew
Danielle is a gorgeous blue with a chrome finish.
Drew is a vibrant fuchsia.

I chose to add on the Tropical Trio which consists of Jenna, Cassidy, and Connie.
Jenna is a bright, tangerine cream.
Cassidy is a creamy light blue (which I absolutely love.)
Connie is a brilliant purple.

I also opted to add on the Utopia Mystery Polish and Shangri-La Mystery Polish which came in Hannah and Lupita.
Hannah is a dull sage green.
Lupita is a deep pinkish red.

I also got two bonuses in my box which are a lip gloss in Vivid (a little too dark for my taste) and a Luxe Lip conditioning treatment in sheer coral.
Julep's lip gloss can be slightly sticky, but it works well when applied over a chapstick or base.

Overall, I am so pleased with this months box! This is the first month I have opted for any add-ons and I can say they were definitely worth it.

My box, which I purchased for $49.96 after add-ons values at $133! (Based on Maven pricing.)
