Aveeno Positively Ageless Tinted Moisturizer

So, with this tinted moisturizer, it is said to help even tone and texture and has natural looking coverage while protecting with SPF 30. The one good thing I can say about this product, is it actually smells pretty good. Unfortunately that is where the good stops.

With one pump, out come a big dab of what looks like thick, dark foundation. I have the color Light to Medium but this is no way okay for light skin tones. 

At this point, I was still thrown off by the texture as I applied it to my skin. I figured it would just blend in and not look so dark once it was applied. Again, I was wrong. It has a very thick, sticky texture while applying it and doesn't blend very well. The stickyness will eventually go away but what is left is a heavy feeling of makeup on my now orange face.

I only used one pump to cover my entire face, and blended as best as I can to be left wearing a mask. I have tried less, but the result is the same. Once the moisturizer is applied and drys, it has a stiff feeling to it.  I have slightly sensitive skin as well, so I did experiance a mild tinling/burning sensation. 

I am aware that not everyones skin is the same, and not everyone may have the same experiance that I have had but I do not recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin.

EyesLipsFace Mineral Face Primer

I just repurchased this face primer in Clear to try it out again. I used it when they first introduced it on their website and I had a good experience with it.

This primer  has become a major part in my everyday routine. It pumps out a generous ammount that will cover my entire face. It comes out as a "dry gel" that has a satin feel to it, and glides on very smooth. I have noticed that using a litle too much will cause your foundation to practially slide off.

My only problem is since starting to use this primer, it does clog pores and my face does break out more than before. I have started using a good soap to make sure it is all off of my face at night, and I try to give my face a break from my products on days I don't go to work which seems to balance it out.

If you are looking for a qood quality, inexpensive primer I would definitely recommed this one.

These colors are gorgeous but they have one downfall - massive, chunky glitter with a lot of fall out.

They are very dry, dusty shadows and the glitter tends to get everywhere but the colors are worth it.

The eye liner comes in the color Whiskey. It is one of the 24/7 Glide On Liners.

It is smooth and looks great on.

My least favorite of the set would be the lip gloss, which also is full of glitter and is incredibly sticky.

I bought this palette straight from Urban Decay in their Clearence/Last Chance area.

In my own opinion, this is a great palette given the set back of all the glitter.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Review

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Bigger. Blacker. Badder.

This sample came from the lovely Urban Decay website and showed up in my mailbox today,

and let me tell you, I have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive!

I imediately had the need to try it out, of course.

I love it.

It goes on so smooth and dark. No lashes are clumped together. None of them. And it stays forever!

I am in love. This is amazing.

I really haven't found a masacara that goes on as easy as this one does, all it took was one coat and *BAM* amazing lashes.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a good picture of my lashes due to lighting, but this is my new favorite.

The mascara launches on July 7th.

Trust me, it is worth it!

Mini Drugstore Makeup Haul (Target, Ross, Sam's Club)

Hello Gorgeous

Today, I decided that I was in need of some new makeup and desperate for an adventure so I went out and hit some of my favorite stores.

I can definitely say the trip, in 108 degree weather, was so worth it!

Some of these items I have tried since bringing them home, while some I have yet to open. 

I will do some reviews as I try them out.

So now, let's get into the haul!

The first item, well items, I found were at Ross. They caught my attention as sets of Physicians Formula makeup. Each set had an origional value of $20-$30. I got them at a steal for $5.99 each. 

Set #1 includes:

Set #2 includes:

My next stop was at Target for some much needed foundation and concealer. 

I have heard great things about Maybelline FIT Me! and decided it was time to try it out. 

• FIT Me! Foundation in 115 Ivory
• FIT Me! Concealer in 15 Fair

I also was able to find a great deal on two Maybelline amazing mascaras... 

Which I, of course, imediately needed to try out as soon as I got home... And I am in LOVE!

• The Falsies Volume Express in Very Black (I have heard so many good things!)
• The MEGA Plush Deep Velvet in Purple Velvet

I did not intend to ever own purple mascara, but on clearence for $4, it was a steal and I am glad I found it. 

I currently have MEGA Plush - Purple layered underneith Falsies, and it looks amazing.

Although I am now completely aware of my eyelashes, but only because they are so thick and out there. 

In a good way, of course!

My final stop took me to Sam's Club where I found something that is incredible.

Everyone has been raving about the UrbanDecay Naked palette since it came out and how amazing it is. 

I have found an amazing dupe for it that saves about forty dollars. 

That would be the Makeup Works Glam Perfection Nude Eyeshadow Palette. 

Retails for $13.88 at my local store. 

I did watch a few review on YouTube that have the swatches of both palettes side by side, and let me tell you, that if you didn't know otherwise, you would swear they were the same. 

I love the colors and I am so impressed with this! 

I am happy to be able to share this with all of you and will have some reviews up within the next few days!

Bath & Body Works Haul - Semi Annual Sale!

My name is Melody, and I am addicted to Bath and Body Works.

So of course when it came time for the Semi Annual Sale, I showed up the first day. It is definitely my weakness.

I am a big collector of just about all the sprays that they have, I wear different ones depending on my mood. A few of the things I bought were some I am familliar with and some I have't tried yet.

I should probably stay out of the mall for a while or I will be tempted to go back (:

The first thing I noticed about this mask was the consistency. It is very thin and took me by surprise. Normally this would be a bad thing but it helped the mask go on very smooth and even. 

The mask dries pretty quickly and is very easy to remove. 

Once the mask was off, I immediately noticed how soft my skin felt. I am pretty impressed.

The only issue I had with this mask was that my skin was broken out the next day. I do have slightly sensitive skin so I don't blame the mask on that one. 

I am a huge fan of face masks and this one is pretty amazing. Definitely recommend it.

I have been (not so) patiently waiting for my newest VoxBox to arrive. The shipping took forever and I almost gave up hope, but I was so thrilled when it came in the mail today.

First Impression:

I am really excited about this box. I love the KISSES, because face it, what woman doesn't love to receive chocolate? I am also so excited about the Men's Spray Lotion as something for my husband to try out. Everything else is just as exciting.

One thing that I am not so into would be the KISS Lashes. I will admit, false eyelashes freak me out, I have no idea what I am doing with them and will be lucky if I don't attach them to some other random body part on accident... But I am definitely willing to try them out so we will see how it goes!

I will review each product separately as it is tried out.
